Iran sends revised 14-point draft to US through Pakistan

TEHRAN: Pakistan’s efforts to establish peace in the region have led to significant progress in the negotiations between the US and Iran, and the next 24 to 48 hours are crucial.

According to details, Tehran sent a revised 14-point draft to Washington through Pakistan to address US concerns. An Iranian official told Reuters that the US has shown flexibility regarding sanctions imposed on Iran and its nuclear program.

According to Iranian media, the US is also ready to lift sanctions on Iranian oil, but only 25 percent of the frozen assets will be restored. Tehran has demanded the lifting of all sanctions and the lifting of the blockade in the new draft, while more will be discussed during the negotiations on the nuclear program.

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai, the US had reservations about the previous proposals, which were conveyed to Iran. Tehran conveyed its position on these reservations to the US through Pakistan. Negotiations will continue under Pakistan’s mediation.
