RAHYID: Satellite images of the destruction of a very important US Air Force E-3 Sentry plane have been released as a result of an Iranian attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in central Saudi Arabia.
The plane was equipped with the AWACS system, which was capable of aerial surveillance of a war zone of 120,000 square miles.
The American news agency CNN has confirmed these images and said that the wreckage is in the same place where the plane was seen standing in satellite images of March 11.
According to the report, at least ten US soldiers have been injured in this attack, but no casualties have been reported. A US fuel tanker plane was also affected in this operation.
The E-3 Sentry plane is the backbone of the US military, as it can track 600 targets simultaneously and informs commanders of enemy movements moment by moment.
The thirty-foot-diameter radar dome mounted on its roof can now be seen fallen to the ground, which is being considered a major blow to the American defense system.
