KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait has announced two-day public holidays on National Day and Liberation Day, with government employees getting four days off.
According to Gulf News, the Kuwaiti cabinet has announced two-day public holidays in government institutions on the occasion of National Day and Liberation Day.
The decision was announced after a weekly cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah. The public holidays will be on Wednesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 26. All ministries and government institutions will be closed on this holiday.
However, due to the regular weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday, government employees will get four days off at once, and work in government offices will resume on Sunday, March 1.
Work in all ministries, government institutions, and government agencies will be suspended on Wednesday and Thursday, February 25 and 26. Official working hours will resume on Sunday, March 1.
However, officials said that institutions with special operational needs will make their own holiday arrangements to ensure the continuity of essential services and protect public interests.
