DUBAI: Kuwait has officially launched its new digital and comprehensive “Visit Kuwait” online platform, making it easier for travelers from all over the world to obtain e-visas.
According to a report by Gulf News, Kuwait has officially activated its new digital portal “Visit Kuwait”, through which travelers from all over the world will now be able to apply for e-visas online.
According to the official news agency KUNA, this initiative is part of the government’s strategy to promote tourism under Kuwait Vision 2035.
According to the report, through the new platform, four types of visas, including tourist, family, business and official visas, will now be available from a single portal to simplify the entry process for people coming for different purposes.
Tourist visa:
Under this visa, people wishing to visit the country’s cultural and recreational sites will be allowed to stay for up to three months.
Family Visa:
This visa will allow Kuwaiti residents to invite their relatives to stay here for 30 days.
Business Visa:
This visa is for representatives of foreign companies who are attending meetings, events or business negotiations. This visa is valid for 30 days.
Official Visa:
This visa is reserved for official delegations and diplomatic missions only.
It should be noted that this platform was introduced in August this year and is now fully operational. According to Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, ‘Visit Kuwait’ is the country’s main digital tourism gateway that provides e-visas as well as information on cultural, entertainment and heritage-related activities.
