TEHRAN: The funeral prayer of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, who was martyred in an Israeli attack, was postponed today.
After the funeral prayer today, preparations were also made for a three-day farewell ceremony at the Imam Khomeini Prayer Hall in Tehran, in which the public was invited to join.
According to sources, Khamenei’s burial was to be held in Mashhad, but the day and time of the burial have not yet been decided.
But now the ceremony has also been postponed, saying that the final schedule of the funeral is being postponed due to the lack of a final schedule, location, and arrangements.
The location, date, and other details of the funeral prayer gathering have not been announced at this time, but it is expected to be announced soon.
Iranian media has claimed that the decision to postpone the funeral prayer gathering was made in light of the opinions coming from citizens of other provinces.
Several convoys are still on their way to attend the funeral prayers from distant areas and are facing delays in their arrival due to limited travel facilities.
Due to this, the time has been changed to ensure the participation of maximum citizens in the funeral prayers of the Supreme Leader.
