Suicide bombing at mosque in Nigeria

NIGERIA: Five worshippers were killed and 35 injured in a suicide bombing at a mosque in Nigeria.

According to the news agency, police confirmed that the explosion took place at a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State, killing 5 people and injuring 35. The injured have been transferred to the Maiduguri University Hospital for treatment.

According to the police, the incident occurred when people were praying when a suicide bomber blew himself up with an improvised explosive device.

No organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but locals believe that the attack was carried out by terrorists from the extremist organization “Boko Haram.”
