Taliban’s 2025 success declaration rejected in diplomat article

KABUL: The Afghan representative posted at the UN office in Geneva has rejected the Afghan Taliban regime’s self-made success claims.

The Afghan Taliban regime’s strained relations with most countries and the gradual increase in terrorism are not the result of success but of the worst policies.

A local Afghan newspaper has also made the truth clear regarding the failures of the Afghan Taliban regime. According to The Kabul Tribune, Afghan representative Nasir Ahmad Andisha wrote in The Diplomat that the Taliban regime’s declaration of 2025 as a year of success is contrary to facts and misleading.

According to Nasir Ahmad Andisha, 2025 was a year of global isolation and diplomatic and strategic failures for the Taliban regime. The Taliban has lost not only its allies but also its credibility and international legitimacy.

The Afghan Taliban regime has escalated tensions with neighboring countries Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for senior Taliban commanders for crimes against humanity.

According to them, the Taliban’s incompetence is threatening the Afghan nation-state, while women and the people are deprived of basic human rights. The Afghan Taliban regime cannot mislead the world with baseless claims to prolong its rule.

According to Afghan observers, the incompetent Taliban regime has pushed the war-torn country into a deeper crisis.
