WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump has said that U.S. forces will withdraw from Iran “very soon,” with the military operation likely to end in just two to three weeks.
POTUS claimed that recent coordinated airstrikes with Israel had achieved their primary objectives, including preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Trump said the United States now dominates Iranian skies and has effectively reshaped the country’s leadership by eliminating several senior political and military figures, calling the new rulers “much less radical” and “much more sensible” than their predecessors.
Washington will withdraw from Iran when it is confident that the nation cannot develop nuclear weapons, even if a formal agreement is reached. He also claimed that Iranian leaders are reportedly “begging to make a deal” to end the conflict despite previous reluctance and insisted that the war could end without a negotiated settlement.
On the domestic front, Trump predicted that fuel prices would fall as soon as U.S. military operations ceased.
