WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has assigned the FBI to lead the investigation into the deaths and disappearances of scientists involved in space, nuclear and defense projects.
President Trump has set a 10-day deadline for the initial results of the investigation and has declared the matter a top national security priority.
According to the report, these cases span the period from 2022 to 2026 and include personnel from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, MIT, Caltech and military research centers.
According to reports, 6 scientists have been mysteriously murdered and 5 have gone missing in the United States since 2022.
The first case of mysterious death was in 2022 when scientist Amy Eskridge was found dead in her home.
According to experts, American scientists may have been targeted because of sensitive information.
