US hikes H-1B visa fee to record $100,00

US court blocks Trump’s $100,000 H-1B visa fee policy

NEW YORK: US President Donald Trump has increased the annual fee for H-1B worker visas to $100,000, in a record increase.

The move is being described as part of a new policy to restrict immigration.

According to a foreign news agency, President Trump has signed an order that will require companies and candidates to pay a hefty amount to obtain a visa.

President Trump says that in some cases, companies may face an even greater financial burden.

According to experts, this decision will have the greatest impact on technology companies that employ a large number of experts from India and China.

According to the report, due to this huge increase in visa fees, companies will face difficulties in recruiting globally.

Previously, the application fee for the H-1B visa started at just $215 and could go up to a few thousand dollars at certain stages, but now the fixed fee of $100,000 has put both companies and job seekers in a difficult position.

Experts say that this decision will not only deal a blow to the dreams of skilled people coming to the United States, but could also prove detrimental to the American technology industry.

The Trump administration has made it clear that the fee will take effect immediately and will initially remain in effect for one year, although the president can extend it further.
