Who is Aziza al-Ahmadi who shipped Kiswa to Epstein?

Who is Aziza al-Ahmadi who shipped Kiswa to Epstein?

ISLAMABAD: In the most recent release of the Epstein Files from the US Department of Justice (DOJ), a name caught sudden attention ”Aziza-al-Ahmadi” a UAE-based business woman clearly mentioned over and over again in Epstien files for one of the most controversial reasons.

According to the details, UAE-based businesswoman Aziza al-Ahmadi worked with a man named Abdullah al-Maari to ship the three pieces connected to the Kiswa – the black, gold-embroidered cloth that covers the Kaaba at the centre of Islam’s holiest site in Saudi Arabia.

The email exchange, dated February and March 2017, shows UAE-based businesswoman Aziza al-Ahmadi working with a man called Abdullah al-Maari to organise the shipment of three selected pieces from the Kiswa.

The Kiswa was shipped to Epstein

The emails reveal that a portion of the Kiswa was shipped by air freight from Saudi Arabia to Florida via British Airways, with proof of the detailed logistics that went into the shipment, including invoices, customs arrangements, and delivery within the US.

The messages highlight three separate pieces of the Kiswa, which were sent to Epstein: one from inside the Kaaba, one from the outer covering, and a last piece that was made from the same materials but not used.

The shipment is believed to have arrived at Epstein’s home in March 2017, almost ten years after he had served prison time and registered as a convicted child sex offender.

During one of the emails, Aziza briefly described to Epstein the real purpose of Kiswa and how it is very sacred to the Muslim Community.

“The black piece was touched by a minimum of 10 million Muslims of different denominations, Sunni, Shia, and others,” Ahmadi detailed.

“They walk around the Kaaba seven rounds, then everyone tries as much as they can to touch it, and they keep their prayers, wishes, tears, and hopes on this piece. Hoping that after that, all their prayers would be accepted,” she added.

How did Aziza meet Epstein?

During the recent release of the Epstein files, it has been clearly seen that Ahmadi has sent multiple emails to Epstein and his secretary about various topics.

In one set of messages, Ahmadi checks on Epstein’s personal well-being after Hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean in September 2017, where his private island suffered damage.

Despite the controversial shipment of Kiswa to Epstein, it has not yet been made clear how Aziza met Epstein or how the two connected.

The Kiswa holds a deeply religious significance for Muslims worldwide because millions of pilgrims make long journeys to Makkah to perform Umrah and Hajj rituals, which revolve around the Kaaba.

Each year, the Islamic community removes the Kaaba cloth to replace it with a new one because they consider the previous Kiswa to be a valuable religious item.
