ISLAMABAD: Retail prices of cement in the country recorded a decline during the past week.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of cement per sack in northern cities was recorded at Rs 1,372 in the week ending October 9, which is 0.64 percent lower than the previous week.
In the previous week, the average retail price of cement per sack in northern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1,381.
In the southern cities, the average retail price of cement per sack was Rs 1,441, which is 0.58 percent lower than the previous week. In the previous week, the average retail price of cement per sack in southern cities was Rs 1,449.
Last week, the average retail price of cement per sack in Islamabad was Rs 1345, Rawalpindi Rs 1346, Gujranwala Rs 1400, Sialkot Rs 1370, Lahore Rs 1408, Faisalabad Rs 1380, Sargodha Rs 1360, Multan Rs 1416, Bahawalpur Rs 1420, Peshawar Rs 1350 and Bannu Rs 1300.
In addition, the average retail price of cement per sack in Karachi was Rs 1367, Hyderabad Rs 1427, Sukkur Rs 1500, Larkana Rs 1407, Quetta Rs 1500 and Khuzdar Rs 1443.
