KARACHI: Gold prices witnessed a decline in both local and international markets on Monday, with the price of the precious metal falling by Rs2,400 per tola in Pakistan.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,400 to Rs437,436.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs2,058, bringing it down to Rs375,030.
The decline in local bullion prices followed a downward trend in the international market, where gold prices fell by $24 per ounce to $4,150.
Bullion dealers attributed the decrease in domestic prices to fluctuations in global gold rates, which continue to influence the local market.
