KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan’s local market fell on Monday due to a decline in global rates.
According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs 300 to Rs 289,100.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs 257 to Rs 227,209.
The price of the yellow commodity in the international market fell by $ 3, with the new price being fixed at $ 2,767 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola fell by Rs 14 to close at Rs 3,395, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs 14 to close at Rs 2,910.
On Friday, gold prices increased significantly at the global and local levels, reaching a record high. The price of gold in the local market reached a historic level. For the first time since October 30, 2024, the price of 24 karat gold per tola increased by Rs 2900 to Rs 289600. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also saw a significant increase of Rs 2486, reaching Rs 248285.
