ISLAMABAD: The prices of petroleum products are likely to be reduced by up to Rs 6.35 per liter from December 1, according to sources.
The price of petrol is expected to be reduced by Rs 3.75 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel is expected to be reduced by Rs 6.10 per liter.
Similarly, the price of kerosene is expected to be reduced by 73 paise and the price of light diesel oil by Rs 6.35 per liter.
Sources further said that the oil industry has completed its work regarding the proposed change in prices and sent it to OGRA, after which OGRA is preparing a summary of the price changes based on these recommendations.
This summary will be sent to the Ministry of Finance tomorrow.
The Ministry of Finance will announce the new prices of petroleum products to be implemented from December 1 on November 30, which will be effective for the next 15 days.
According to sources, the Ministry of Finance will also consult with the Prime Minister before making this announcement.
