Petrol prices to rise again in Pakistan from November 1

Fuel reserves stand at 12 days for crude, 25 days for diesel: Finance Ministry

KARACHI: Petrol prices are likely to become more expensive from November 1 after the US sanctions on Russian oil companies.

Sources say that petrol is expected to increase by Rs 1.48 and kerosene by Rs 2.34 per liter.

If the current trend continues, the new price of petrol from November 1 may reach Rs 264.50, diesel Rs 276.80, kerosene Rs 184.05 and light diesel Rs 163.25 per liter.

However, the final prices will be announced on the evening of October 31 after the review of 15-day import and foreign exchange data is completed.

The price increase is expected due to fluctuations in oil prices in the international market and the impact of the latest US sanctions on major Russian oil companies.
