ISLAMABAD: Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has opened applications for the Malala Yousafzai Scholarship, a fully funded program created in collaboration with the Oxford Pakistan Programme.
The scholarship provides full financial support to Pakistani women who wish to obtain Master’s degrees or higher degrees at the University of Oxford.
Malala shared the news on social media by saying her desire is for every girl in Pakistan to achieve her goals through education while selecting her professional path, which will help advance national development.
Malala established the scholarship to support educational access for girls who face challenges in obtaining their basic right to education, according to her commitment to this cause.
The 11-year-old Malala recounted how her education was stopped when schools were closed in her area, but she wanted to share more than her personal experience. The program selects exceptional Pakistani women who wish to attend Oxford University with plans to use their education to create positive transformations in Pakistan.
Eligible candidates can apply through the Oxford Pakistan Programme website, where applications are now open. Malala showed how Pakistani girls possess the ability to establish successful professions while making valuable contributions to their communities and driving progress through their leadership of development projects.
The scholarship will cover tuition fees, living expenses, and other educational costs, ensuring students can focus fully on their studies. She expressed hope that many young women will seize this opportunity, saying she looks forward to welcoming the next group of scholarship recipients who will study at Oxford.
