Punjab teachers barred from teaching in private schools & academies: Here’s why!

Punjab Boards announce annual examination schedule

ISLAMABAD: The School Education Department has banned government teachers from taking classes in private schools or academies.

Officials confirmed that a notification regarding this directive has already been issued. According to the department, strict disciplinary action will be taken against any teacher found teaching in a private institution during government school hours.

Sources have revealed that thousands of teachers are violating the existing rules, which has prompted the department to take this drastic step. Officials have also said that now the activities of teachers will be closely monitored to prevent further violations.

The move comes after reports that most government teachers are taking private classes, which has raised concerns about their focus on students in government schools. According to the department, strict disciplinary action will be taken against any teacher found teaching privately during government school hours.

“The aim of this decision is to ensure that students in government schools get the attention and education they deserve,” the department officials said. The officials also confirmed that the activities of teachers will now be closely monitored to prevent further violations.
