LAHORE: Punjab’s private medical colleges and dental universities are set to start the centralized admissions process from January 21. This process will be carried out by the University of Health Sciences (UHS) to ensure merit and transparency.
This was a unanimous decision by principals and directors of all private medical colleges at a meeting presided over by UHS Vice Chancellor Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore.
The process will begin on January 21, with candidates applying through the online portal set up by UHS. Submission of applications will end on January 30.
The merit list will be made public on February 3, and the first selection list will follow on February 5. Prof. Rathore emphasized that the admissions would be governed by the government of Punjab policies, specifically those of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
Separate admissions would be there for MBBS and BDS programs. He requested all colleges to cooperate with UHS to maintain merit and transparency, and the principals and owners asserted their full confidence in the centralized admission system.
The UHS has had a good track record of completing the admission on time and is expected to do the same this year. The admission process is set to begin shortly, and candidates can expect a fair and transparent selection process.
