ISLAMABAD: The Indian army, on the night of May 8 and 9, opened unprovoked firing on the civilian population, martyring five civilians and injuring seven others, the state-run PTV reported, citing security sources.
As per reports, the panicked Indian army targeted the civilian population in the areas of Hajira, Forward Kahuta, and Khuiratta.

FO spox says India has brought countries closer to war
Pakistan’s foreign office spokesman said that India was to blame for bringing the two nuclear-armed neighbours closer to war.
Addressing a press briefing in Islamabad, FO spox Shafqat Ali Khan said, “It is most unfortunate that India’s reckless conduct has brought the two nuclear-armed states closer to a major conflict.”
“India’s jingoism and war hysteria should be a source of serious concern for the world.”
Shafqat urged the international community to hold India accountable for its irresponsible, unlawful, and belligerent conduct.
The spokesperson has said that several countries across the world, along with the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, had called for restraint during the last two weeks.
“It is highly deplorable that India did not pay heed to these calls,” he said at a press briefing.
The diplomat also rejected Indian claims of targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, saying that it was a matter of record that the Indian strikes resulted in the killing of civilians, including women and children.
“It is a matter of public knowledge that some mosques were also destroyed or damaged during the Indian aggression. Similarly, parts of the Neelum-Jhelum hydro-electric project were damaged due to Indian shelling, which is inter alia a violation of international conventions,” he said, demanding that India must be held accountable for these crimes.
