MUZAFFARABAD: A government negotiation team led by Raja Pervez Ashraf has reached Muzaffarabad for talks with the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
The delegation, which includes Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar, Rana Sanaullah, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Ahsan Iqbal, Sardar Yousaf, PPP leaders Raja Pervez Ashraf, and Qamar Zaman Kaira, has reached Muzaffarabad to resolve the ongoing protests in Azad Kashmir through talks.
Officials say that the government delegation will hold talks with the leaders of the Public Action Committee leading the protests, and an attempt will be made to resolve all issues peacefully through talks.
In a media talk before leaving for Muzaffarabad, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that on the instructions of the Prime Minister, they will listen to the demands of the Public Action Committee, as there are currently elements who want to sabotage the peace and stability of Pakistan.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that he is grateful to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for taking notice of this matter even while he is abroad, the negotiation process with the Public Action Committee is being restored, and the remaining demands will be discussed.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the solution to the problems is possible only through negotiations, and efforts are being made to bring the situation back to normal as soon as possible.
In addition, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, while holding a press conference with the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, said that 90 percent of the demands of the Action Committee had been accepted.

Earlier, expressing serious concerns over the unpleasant incidents that took place during the protests in Azad Kashmir, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered a transparent investigation into the matter.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that law enforcement agencies should show patience and tolerance with the protesters, ensure respect for public sentiments, and avoid unnecessary harshness.
He said that the government is always ready to resolve the issues of its Kashmiri brothers.
Expressing deep concern over the unpleasant incidents during the protests, the Prime Minister ordered a transparent investigation into the incident and directed that immediate assistance be provided to the families affected by the protests.
For a peaceful resolution of the issue at the government level, the Prime Minister has decided to expand the negotiation committee.
The negotiation committee has also included Rana Sanaullah, federal ministers Sardar Yousaf and Ahsan Iqbal, as well as former presidents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Masood Khan and Qamar Zaman Kaira.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that the negotiation committee go to Muzaffarabad and find an immediate and lasting solution to the issues.
The Prime Minister has appealed to the members and leadership of the Kashmir Action Committee to cooperate with the government negotiation committee.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while announcing the monitoring of the negotiations process upon his return home, said that the committee will send its recommendations and proposed solutions to the Prime Minister’s Office without delay.
Earlier, 3 police officers were killed while 6 civilians lost their lives as a result of violent protests by the Awami Action Committee in Azad Kashmir.
72 police officers have been injured as a result of the violent protests, of which 12 are said to be in critical condition, while 50 civilians are also among the injured.
