LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 17-member Test squad for the upcoming tours of the West Indies and England, with Babar Azam returning as the captain of the national Test side.
The squad features a blend of experienced campaigners and emerging talent as Pakistan prepares for a challenging overseas Test season.
Alongside Babar Azam and Rizwan, the squad includes Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Sajid Khan, Mohammad Abbas, Khurram Shahzad, Aamir Jamal, Saud Shakeel, Shan Masood, Abdullah Fazal, Ali Usman, Azan Awais, Mohammad Ali, Muhammad Awais Zafar, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori and Ubaid Shah.
Saud Shakeel’s selection for the England leg of the tour is subject to fitness clearance.
The Pakistan team will begin the tour with Test matches against the West Indies. The national team will play a warm-up match in Tarouba on July 18.
The first Test between Pakistan and the West Indies will be played in Troubadour from July 25 to 29.
