Liaqat Ali Chatta resigns

Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaqat Ali Chatta resigned from the post and admitted huge election rigging in the Rawalpindi division during the election 2024 on Saturday.

Commissioner Rawalpindi while holding a press conference at Pindi Cricket Stadium accepted the responsibility of election rigging in the Rawalpindi division and surrendered himself to the police for irregularities in the Feb 8 polls.

He said that I had done injustice in Rawalpindi Division and tendered an apology to the nation publicly for the sin. I have no right to live, said Liaquat Ali Chatta.

Furthermore, Commissioner Rawalpindi added that we have converted the defeated candidates into winners by a lead of fifty-fifty thousand, the stab in the back of the country does not let me sleep.

While giving a conference, he said there is no need to conduct re-election, the original form 45 should be submitted again and the situation will be clear.
