MUMBAI: Indian actress and dancer Rakhi Sawant has strongly criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for allegedly pulling the veil of a Muslim woman.
In a video message shared on social media, Rakhi Sawant said, “I have great respect for Nitish Kumar, but what he did is unacceptable. Doesn’t he feel any shame?”
She further questioned the act, saying that Muslim women wear the veil out of necessity, and accused the Chief Minister of sending mixed signals by honoring them with awards while simultaneously violating their dignity.
Rakhi demanded that Nitish Kumar hold a press conference, invite the woman involved, and apologize publicly.
