KP approves e-transfer policy for teachers

Punjab Boards announce annual examination schedule

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet has adopted an e-transfer policy for teachers, which will be based on criteria such as service at a school, student-teacher ratio, and performance.

The Chief Minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Suhail Afridi, said that merit and transparency would be ensured with the new policy. Moreover, he emphasized that an e-transfer service for teachers was an essential need of today.

The chief minister said that posting and transfer of teachers have been banned presently within the province. “We have received more than 400 recommendations, but not a single recommendation was accepted,” he said.

Suhail Afridi also directed other departments to formulate merit-based transfer policies so that there would be transparency and fairness in the administrative set-up.
