Such unsubstantiated assertions were referred to in the statement as an “attempt” to convey the misleading impression that the Pakistan Army and the Punjab Police were engaged in combat.
The rumors went viral on social media, prompting the two organizations to launch an “immediate” joint probe, according to the statement. After examining all the information, representatives from the two organizations reached a “peaceful” resolution.
The statement further stated that joint operations between the Punjab Police and the Pakistan Army were being carried out in the province to apprehend dangerous criminals, miscreants, and terrorists.
