KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced the release of a film based on Lyari, ‘Mera Layari’, in response to the anti-Pakistan Indian film Dharandhar, which aims to present a positive and realistic picture of the region to the world.
Senior Provincial Minister for Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has said that the Indian film Dharandhar is a systematic propaganda against Pakistan, in which Layari was deliberately presented in a negative light.
According to him, the film ‘Mera Layari’, which will be released next month, will highlight the original culture and identity of the region.
Indian movie Dhurandhar is yet another example of negative propaganda by the Indian film industry against Pakistan, especially targeting Lyari. Lyari is not violence—it is culture, peace, talent, and resilience. Next month Mera Lyari will release, showing the true face of Lyari:… pic.twitter.com/v2FsVMfWsB
