BAHAWALNAGAR: Police have arrested a male TikToker for allegedly preparing an AI-generated obscene video of a female TikToker rival and uploading it to social media.
An FIR, registered on Thursday, in which the accused, identified as Zain, of village 430/6R, is nominated as an accused of making the fake obscene video through unidentified person(s).
The female TikToker who owns a beauty salon in village 37/3R was allegedly targeted and humiliated on social media for social stigma.
Police alleged that the accused Zain not only used foul language but also issued threats of killing when confronted by her.
Following a complaint from the female TikToker, a case was registered, and Zain was arrested for the offense. The alleged accomplice of Zain is absconding.
Sources in the police said that the accused had confessed to his crime by claiming that his rival’s videos were gaining more views than his due to jealousy, and hence, he resorted to this act of preparing the obscene video.
