Pakistan’s entertainment industry has received new international recognition with actor Hania Aamir and filmmaker Saman Kamran featuring in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list in the Entertainment and Sports category.

The annual list, published by Forbes, celebrates young innovators, artists, athletes, and entrepreneurs under the age of 30 across Asia who are making an impact. The 2026 edition is another milestone in Pakistan’s rising presence on the international creative stage.

Hania Aamir is one of the most influential personalities in the entertainment industry in Pakistan. Over the last few years, she has become hugely popular with successful television projects and a rapidly growing fan base worldwide. The actress recently reached the milestone of 20 million followers on Instagram and is now the most followed Pakistani woman on the platform.

Her drama serial Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum was a hit among viewers, further cementing her reputation, while her upcoming appearance in Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo has generated a lot of anticipation. The project will be Pakistan’s first Netflix original, a testament to the changing entertainment landscape in the country. Besides her acting career, Aamir is also the national goodwill ambassador of UN Women Pakistan.

Filmmaker Saman Kamran was also acknowledged for her meaningful storytelling and commitment to socially relevant issues. Her short film The Bed She Made was chosen for screening at the Busan International Short Film Festival, garnering international recognition. Her concern for contemporary social issues is reflected in the film’s treatment of environmental and fertility issues.

Kamran has previously served as an assistant director on Umro Ayyar: A New Beginning, one of the major film productions of Pakistan.
