RAWALPINDI – Lt Col Sahibzada Gul Faraz Last WhatsApp Status has gone viral as Pakistan mourns his sacrifice in a tragic suicide attack in Bannu. The 43-year-old officer, known for his bravery and frontline leadership, was killed during an intelligence-led operation against militants in the region.

Pakistani security forces launched the operation after receiving credible intelligence about extremist activity, including a suicide bomber. Authorities pointed to cross-border elements for supporting militants, emphasizing that extremist groups exploit foreign territory to carry out attacks in Pakistan. Officials reaffirmed that such violence is against Islam and vowed decisive action against terrorism.

The military highlighted the broader counterterrorism effort in Balochistan, including Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1, which eliminated hundreds of militants and dismantled their command networks. These intelligence-driven operations targeted sleeper cells and hideouts, restoring stability in conflict-prone regions.

Government and security officials reiterated their commitment to safeguarding Pakistan. They warned that counterterrorism measures will continue against all perpetrators, no matter where they operate.

The tragic death of Lt Col Sahibzada Gul Faraz underscores the ongoing security challenges in Pakistan and honors the ultimate sacrifice of soldiers who fight extremism to protect the nation.
