A soulful light is passing from Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and now to Shah Zaman Ali Khan: A Legacy of Love for Ahle Bait and the martyrs of Karbala Lives On
The timeless message of Karbala has inspired countless generations through its lessons of sacrifice, patience, and courage in the face of oppression, which was powerfully conveyed to the world by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan through his devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and timeless kalams such as “Shah Sawari Karbala Ki” and “Yeh Bil Yaqeen Husayn Hai.”
This legacy was carried forward by Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and is now being embraced by his son, Shahzaman Ali Khan. Their latest kalam, “Zakhmon Se Choor Choor Namazi Assalam,” is a beautiful tribute to Imam Husayn (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala.
We commend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shahzaman Ali Khan for keeping the spirit of Karbala and the love of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) alive through their voices, artistry, and devotion.
