Switzerland Stops Arms Exports to US, Maintains Neutrality in Iran War

Switzerland stops arms exports to US

Switzerland stops arms exports to US as part of its decision to stay neutral in the ongoing Iran war. The Swiss government has taken a clear stance to avoid involvement in the conflict.

Officials confirmed that Switzerland has suspended weapons supplies not only to the United States but also to all countries involved in the Iran war. This move highlights its long-standing policy of neutrality.

The decision comes at a time when global tensions are rising in the Middle East. Many countries are taking careful steps to avoid direct participation in the conflict.

In a related development, Sri Lanka has refused a US request to station military aircraft. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake informed parliament that the US had asked to deploy two fighter jets at Mattala International Airport earlier this month. The request was declined.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are increasing. China’s foreign minister, during talks with a French presidential adviser, stressed that dialogue is the only solution to the crisis. He said China and France should work together for peace in the region.

Turkey has also stepped in diplomatically. The Turkish foreign minister delivered a message from the Turkish president to the UAE leadership, urging efforts to reduce tensions and prioritize diplomacy.

The situation remains tense, but several countries are choosing negotiation over conflict to avoid further escalation.
