Quetta: At least ten people were abducted from a picnic spot in Balochistan’s capital Quetta on Thursday.
As per the media reports, the incident took place in Shaaban near Zarghoon where armed men surrounded the area and abducted them after checking their identity cards.
The abductees belong to Punjab. Details of the incident are still awaited from the authorities.
A similar incident took place in the provincial capital last year where residents of Punjab were abducted after verifying their identity.
Last month, seven Punjabis were shot dead in Gwadar area of Balochistan while they were sleeping in their living quarters. The police official said that the dead and injured persons worked at a barber shop in the area and belonged to Khanewal district of Punjab.
Later, two suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of seven laborers in the coastal town of Sarbandan.
