ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek -e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Whip Aamir Dogar met with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in which matters related to the appointment of the opposition leader were discussed.
In the meeting, Aamir Dogar also presented documents to the Speaker regarding the withdrawal of cases related to former opposition leader Omar Ayub from the court.
Along with this, he once again demanded that Mahmood Achakzai be made the opposition leader.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, said that everything will be done according to the rules, law, and constitution.
He will inform the House on this matter in the next session of the National Assembly.
He added that the procedure related to the appointment of the opposition leader will be restarted, and the rules of the National Assembly are clear in this regard.
During this meeting, both sides agreed to adopt appropriate procedures in light of the rules and regulations, so that the issue of appointment of the opposition leader can be resolved within the constitutional and legal framework.
