Approval to put names of Sami Ibrahim, Imran Riaz Khan and others in ECL

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet on Thursday approved the inclusion of 24 names in the Exit Control List (ECL).

Federal Cabinet made a sub-committee on ECL in light of the recommendations, approval has been given to remove the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Awan from the ECL, which was included in December 2023 due to the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Meanwhile, the Federal cabinet named 24 important people including journalist Sami Ibrahim and Imran Riaz Khan.

Approval for inclusion in ECL was obtained from the federal cabinet through circulation on the summary of the Ministry of Interior. Names of Sami Ibrahim and Imran Riaz were approved for inclusion in ECL due to inquiries.
