“I accept the responsibility of the defeat” Babar Azam resigned from the captaincy

Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has announced his resignation from the captaincy of all three formats.

In a statement released on social media, Babar Azam has said that he is resigning from the captaincy of all three formats, he accepts the responsibility for the defeat in the World Cup, he will fully support the new captain.

He said that as a player I will continue to represent Pakistan in all three formats. It was an honor for me to captain Pakistan. It was a difficult decision to give up the captaincy. I think it was the right time to give up the captaincy. Thank you for this.

Babar Azam said that I remember well the moment when I received a call from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to lead Pakistan in 2019.
