BISP quarterly payment increased to Rs 13,500

BISP announces good news for unmarried women above age 35

KARACHI: In a recent development, The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has some exciting updates. Senator Rubina Khalid, the chairperson of BISP, has announced that the quarterly payment under the Benazir Kafaalat initiative has been increased to Rs 13,500.

This has further increased financial assistance to those who deserve it the most. This is the contribution of this program toward decreasing poverty and helping women become financially empowered.

2025 is special as it has been assigned for the ‘Benazir Hunarmand Programme’, which provides employment to the deserving after being trained from all possible opportunities.

BISP is one of the most significant social safety net initiatives in Pakistan, and it has been really making a difference in the lives of millions since its launch in July 2008.

The programme focuses primarily on women, providing them with unconditional cash transfers and other social protection strategies to enhance their financial independence and help them support their families.

It is amazing to see how BISP is working towards creating a more equitable society, and these latest updates are a testament to the commitment of the programme in making a positive impact.

Eligible Banks for Money Withdrawal

The other challenge that beneficiaries faced was accessing their payments. They could only withdraw their assistance from Habib Bank Limited (HBL). The government has, however increased the number of participating banks, making it quite easy for families to obtain their quarterly payments.

All eligible families can now collect their quarterly payments from Bank Al Falah, Bank of Punjab, Mobilink Microfinance (Jazz Cash), Telenor Microfinance Bank, Habib Bank Limited, and HBL Microfinance. This is a huge convenience, and it’s going to make a big difference in the lives of the people who rely on BISP for support.
