KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that prizes will be awarded for the best decoration of a vehicle, shop, or building on Independence Day.
While holding a news conference in Karachi, he said that flags will be hoisted on government and private buildings, there will be celebrations at district headquarters, and flag hoisting ceremonies will be held.
Murad Ali Shah said that a cultural event and concert will be held at Rani Bagh in Hyderabad as well, while a cultural event will be held in Sukkur in connection with the ‘Marka-e-Haq’.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that a big Independence Day ceremony will be held at Sea View in Karachi, and it will be at the forefront of Independence Day celebrations.
Efforts will be made to organize vintage car and heavy bike rallies, women’s fairs, alongside painting competitions.
The Culture Department has also been directed to organize singing competitions. There will be a poetry reading regarding Independence Day, and a rickshaw rally is also planned.
He said that the IG and DIG Traffic have been instructed to prepare a traffic plan; the public should also cooperate, as these will be rallies for the sake of Pakistan.
I invite all political parties to participate in the Independence Day celebrations, and formal invitations will also be sent to all political parties.
He said that during the August Day celebrations, schools will remain open as usual, and the education department is preparing its programs.
There is a Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai festival from August 9 to 11, and the colors of Independence Day will also be seen in this.
