Court cancels bail of 13 in APP Mega Corruption Case, orders immediate arrests

ISLAMABAD: In a significant development in the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) mega corruption case, the court has rejected the bail pleas of 13 accused individuals and ordered their immediate arrest. The hearing was conducted by Special Central Judge Yamiyoun Dilawar.

As per the details, following the cancellation of bail, seven of the accused were arrested within the court premises. The accused are charged with illegally withdrawing crores of rupees from provident fund and salary accounts.

It is pertinent to mention that former Executive Director Adnan Akram Bajwa, Furqan Rao, Arshad Majeed, and Moazzam Javed Khokhar managed to evade arrest and are currently absconding.

The prosecution presented evidence against Adnan Akram Bajwa and others, including forged signatures and unlawful transfer of funds.

The court’s strict orders mark a crucial step in addressing corruption allegations within the organization.
