LAHORE: A plan to provide employment to rural women in Punjab has been decided to distribute 15,000 more animals across the province.
Buffaloes and cows will be distributed at a cost of 4.5 billion, the animals will be distributed to widows and divorced women, 6,250 animals will be distributed in DG Khan division, 3,750 in Bahawalpur division, and 5,000 cattle in Multan division. The distribution of animals will be completed by committees formed under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner.
1250 cattle per district will be distributed in Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Layyah, Kot Addu, 1250 cattle per district will also be distributed in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan,
Before this, 9,000 animals have been distributed. Only those women who have not received cattle from any government scheme before will be eligible under the scheme.
