ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) has said that the moon of Zilhajja can be sighted on the night of May 28, and the first day will fall on May 29.
Eid-ul-adha shall fall on June 7, 2025, if the moon is sighted on the night of May 28.
The SUPARCO said that the moon will be born on May 27 at 08:02 am, so it is unlikely to sight it on the night of May 27. According to precise astronomical models, the sighting of the crescent of Zilhaj is expected on May 29.
“The visibility of the crescent depends on key factors such as the moon’s age, its angular separation from the sun, altitude at sunset, and atmospheric conditions,” read the statement issued by the Suparco.
