FIA raids Bahria Town to recover hidden financial records & files

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in coordination with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), conducted a major raid targeting Bahria Town’s concealed financial documents and payment files as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities.

As per the officials, key documents related to Bahria Town’s financial dealings were recovered from the premises of a private charitable hospital, where they had been deliberately hidden to obstruct investigations. During the raid, the NAB team also seized computers, servers, digital evidence, and crucial data reportedly used in the housing society’s financial operations.

Authorities revealed that all records were hidden in a guest room of the hospital, and a private ambulance was used to discreetly transport sensitive documents and devices.

The investigation further uncovered that Bahria Town administration had used the private hospital as a front office to shield its corrupt practices and keep vital records out of reach.

Additionally, the FIA team seized important records from Bahria Town’s official office, including project files and documentation related to various private housing schemes operated under the Bahria Town banner.

The operation marks a significant development in the probe into alleged financial misconduct and misuse of public trust by one of Pakistan’s largest real estate developers.
