ISLAMABAD: The first supermoon of the year 2025 will appear in the sky across the world, including Pakistan, tonight (Tuesday).
According to the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARCO), the supermoon will be visible at 8:47 pm.
According to a spokesperson for SPARCO, the moon will be 361,457 km from Earth at this time, due to which it will appear 13% brighter and 6.6% larger than a normal moon.
This moon will rise shortly after sunset in the east and set before sunrise in the west.
The spokesperson said that the planet Saturn will also be visible near the supermoon. A total of 3 supermoons will be visible this year. The next one will be on November 5 and then on December 5.
According to astronomers, this natural scene will present a charming and rare sight tonight.
