ISLAMABAD: Former Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Pervaiz Butt, passed away at the age of 84.
According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, former Chairman Pervaiz Butt passed away at the age of 84. He was one of the founders of Pakistan’s strategic and nuclear programs.
According to the spokesperson, Pervaiz Butt served as Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission from 2001 to 2006. Under his leadership, Pakistan’s nuclear science and technology program got a new dimension.
The spokesperson of the PAEC said that Pakistan has lost a prominent scientist, engineer and national architect. Pervaiz Butt’s services in the national, scientific and nuclear fields will always be remembered.
