In Abbottabad, gas poisoning claims five lives

ABBOTTABAD: A mother and her four children died from gas poisoning inside their home following a terrible incident at Abbottabad police station Nawan Shahr, leaving a family of five facing an unthinkable tragedy.

Based on preliminary investigations, it appears that the fatal incident was most likely caused by a gas heater. The family members died suddenly as a result of the vapors, which were thought to be carbon monoxide.

The father is the only one who survived. He passed out from the gas poisoning, but he was able to regain consciousness.

He is presently receiving medical attention, and it is anticipated that he will reveal important information that will clarify the tragic event.

Because gas heater use increases during the cold season, medical experts have advised citizens to turn off their heaters before going to bed in order to reduce the risk of fire and casualties.

They advised people to make sure their room heaters are turned off completely and that the gas supply is shut off at the source before going to bed in order to prevent leaks.

In the winter, most people use gas heaters in airtight rooms, which increases the risk of death because there is not enough fresh oxygen being inhaled.

When using gas heaters, there is a significant risk of asphyxia. A gas leak or a heater that burns out all the oxygen in the room have killed many people while they were asleep.

Due to a simple mistake of leaving the gas heater open without providing fresh air ventilation, a newlywed couple experienced a tragic event early this year when the husband passed away and the wife entered a coma.
