Govt increases NOC fee for Lahore housing societies by 100%

Govt launches subsidized housing loans under Apna Ghar Scheme

LAHORE: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has increased the fee for housing societies for the No-Objection Certificate (NOC).

The fee has been raised from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 100,000 per kanal.

The decisions were made during the PHA’s 27th Board of Directors (BoD) meeting on Friday, chaired by BoD Chairman Ghazali Saleem Butt.
Housing societies will also be obligated to plant at least two trees for every 10-marla plot and four trees for every one-kanal plot.

The board also authorized a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, under which PHA would maintain green areas in hospitals and hospitals will provide excellent medical services to PHA personnel at a reduced cost.

A medical service provider registration policy based on the Lahore Development Authority framework was also authorized.

In sports, the board determined that five fields would be managed by the Pakistan Cricket Board to promote sports, while the auction of 16 additional grounds under PHA authority was planned.

Other approvals included the purchase of a hydro seeder mulching machine, a 10% rise in park booking charges, and the launch of the “Adopt-a-Park” corporate social responsibility program.
