LAHORE: The Punjab administration has introduced a novel arrangement that offers interest-free loans to workers who wish to go overseas. In order to be eligible, individuals have to present three required papers: a current welding passport, a residency certificate of Punjab, and a letter of job offer from a foreign company confirming the training and employment of the worker in the original.
Through this program, the government will support loans that will take care of all the expenses, such as travel tickets, medical checkups, and others related to the worker going overseas, hence making it hassle-free for them financially.
The project is meant to facilitate workers in finding better jobs abroad, besides offering them financial help without the burden of interest, which in turn will attract skilled labor to improve their careers and contribute to Pakistan’s economy.
