Hajj 2025: Pilgrims to receive vaccines from today

ISLAMABAD: In a groundbreaking development,  Pakistan has opened applications for 5,000 vacant seats for Hajj 2025, with the registration process starting from Today January 10,2025.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs announced applications will be jubilee basis, the eligible banks will upload the results on regular basis on Hajj portal.

New applicants who will apply by the date fixed should be prepared to deposit 600,000 rupees for the first two installments, and it should be clear that this deposit does not include other charges for sacrifice or separate room arrangements.

Moreover, the application process will be closed after the last batch of seats gets filled.

Earlier, the Ministry of Religious Affairs had extended the deadline for receipt of Hajj applications for the third time under the government scheme due to an insufficient response against its allocated quota.

Saudi Arabia has allocated 179,210 pilgrim quotas to Pakistan for Hajj 2025 with 89,605 quotas for both the government and private schemes.

Although the government set a deadline for December 3, then extended this first to December 10 and finally to December 17, it’s still 5,000 slots off of its target, and the Ministry has decided to accept further applications on a first-come-first served basis.
