Head Coach of Ireland cricket team announces resignation

ISLAMABAD: In a shocking move, the head coach of the Ireland cricket team has announced his resignation right after Ireland’s first victory against India.

According to Cricket Ireland, Henrik Malan has been the head coach of the Ireland team for the past 4 years; his contract was extended until early 2027.

Under Henrik Malan’s coaching, Ireland whitewashed India in the T20 series. Ireland defeated India by 34 runs in the first T20 and lost by one run in the second T20 after a thrilling match.

Ireland whitewashed the series by defeating world champions India in the second T20

In this regard, Henrik Malan says that it has been an honor to work with the players, coaching staff, and the Irish cricket family.

He has said that we have achieved many historic successes on the field.
