LAHORE: The Punjab government has made it possible for residents to download records of their homes and other properties online as it is undertaking several steps to modernize land management throughout the province.
It has started the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) project with emphasis on revamping land management throughout Punjab.
Its fundamental goal is the establishment of a Unified Land Information System, making sure that all urban land information is centralized and accessible.
A central aspect of this undertaking is GIS-based mapping of parcels, providing transparent and precise maps directly to the official land records.
By digitizing and refreshing these records, PULSE is intended to enhance the quality and transparency of property registries.
This system will enable improved access to urban land, enabling planned development and investment possibilities throughout the province.
Improved land records and property registration procedures will also lead to greater public trust and efficiency in property dealings. The PULSE project aims to improve urban land governance and promote sustainable development and growth through these advancements.
Merging technology and data will be the basis for a more transparent, efficient, and equitable urban land system in Punjab.
